This is the organization that my family and I have worked with to rebuild homes in areas devastated by hurricanes. It began after Hurricane Katrina and we joined a build in North Carolina for a very deserving elderly man who's home was completely gone after the storm. After Hurricane Sandy we worked in New Jersey with a crew we met through this organization and helped an elderly couple who were scammed out of their insurance money and left to fend for themselves. In our builds, volunteers fed the builders and every bit of supplies was negotiated to the lowest dollar. Many materials were donated once businesses in the communities saw what we were doing.
Join me in supporting real change! Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us as we purchase a shower trailer so we can house volunteers in churches and schools that in the past we could not use because of the lack of showers; also the new equipment we are adding will help us serve widows, the non-insured and families who are looking for a glimmer of hope! By the way, Eight Days of Hope is still an all volunteer organization!
